Mobile studio in Calabasas

Calabasas Boudoir Photographer.

Calabasas sessions happen at private residences across the city's gated communities, with occasional location work at design-forward rental properties in the surrounding hills. The drive from West LA is straightforward across the 101, and many Calabasas clients prefer the privacy of in-home sessions.

Calabasas bookings skew toward established families: women booking milestone classic and fine art sessions in their thirties and forties, often as part of marking a personal chapter rather than tied to a specific event.

Calabasas clients value the in-home session model: their home, their privacy, their schedule. The studio brings the lighting and team to them, and the gated-community context means the work happens without visibility to anyone outside the household. The editorial quality matches what these clients are used to elsewhere in their lives.

Classic and fine art boudoir lead, with maternity a strong third. Most Calabasas sessions are personal-milestone work rather than tied to specific external events. Album-first orders are typical, with wall art added later as a follow-up commission.

Calabasas questions

From Calabasas clients.

Do you work inside gated communities?
Yes. We coordinate gate access through the property in advance. Most of our Calabasas work happens inside The Oaks, Hidden Hills, and the other gated communities in the city.
Can the session happen on a weekday?
Yes. The Calabasas client base often prefers weekday sessions for school-schedule reasons. We offer Tuesday through Friday windows for in-home Calabasas bookings.
What does a Marilyn Lou Boudoir session cost in Calabasas?
Session fees start at $399 for studio sessions and $549 for location sessions. Hair and makeup is available. Products are purchased separately. Most Calabasas clients invest between $1,000 and $2,000 total.
How long is the session for Calabasas clients?
Plan on four to five hours start to finish: 60 to 90 minutes of professional hair and makeup, then two to three hours of directed photography across multiple wardrobe changes and setups.
What if I have never done a boudoir session before?
Most clients have not. The studio is designed around the assumption you do not know how to pose, what to wear, or what to do with your hands. Every part of the session is directed.
