Bridal session
Bridal Boudoir.
A wedding gift your partner will not see coming.
Bridal boudoir is the most popular session at Marilyn Lou. Most brides book six to eight weeks before the wedding, then deliver a custom album the morning of or the night before. Hair and makeup styled for the bridal look is available, plus access to bridal-appropriate wardrobe.

Bridal boudoir is our most-booked session. About a third of every year's calendar is brides preparing a wedding-day gift for their partner, and the studio's process is built around the realities of wedding planning: tight timelines, hair and makeup trials, last-minute wardrobe questions, and the logistics of delivering a finished album in time for the wedding.
Most brides book between six and eight weeks before the wedding. That window gives time for the session, the reveal appointment, album design, and production. We can move faster when the date demands it, with rush production available for an additional fee.
Wardrobe ranges from traditional bridal lingerie (white, ivory, blush) to oversized button-down shirts borrowed from your partner, to the studio's curated collection of robes and accessories. Many brides bring their wedding shoes and veil, which photograph beautifully alongside bridal-toned lingerie.
The most-requested delivery format is a small leather-bound album sized to give as a gift the morning of the wedding or at the rehearsal dinner. We offer rush album production to make tight timelines work. Couples often frame additional images for the home together after the wedding.

What to expect
The session, in order.
Bridal-styled hair and makeup
We can match your bridal-day stylist's direction or work from your trial photos. Many brides use the session as a final makeup trial.
Bridal-appropriate wardrobe
The studio collection includes traditional white and ivory pieces. We can also style with your wedding accessories: shoes, veil, garter, jewelry.
Standard two to three hour session
Same session structure as classic boudoir, with wardrobe and styling shifted toward bridal tones and aesthetics.
Rush album option
If your wedding is inside six weeks, we offer a rush album production option to ensure delivery in time for the day.
Good to know
Things worth knowing before you book.
Book early in your wedding planning
Bridal boudoir calendar fills in spring and fall wedding seasons. Inquire when you have your wedding date and venue, not when you have your dress.
Pair with your hair and makeup trial
Many brides schedule the boudoir session to double as their hair and makeup trial. We coordinate with your bridal team in advance.
Gift presentation matters
We design the album to be a gift-able object. Boxed, leather-bound, with a hand-written note option. The packaging is part of the work.
Bridal boudoir: a wedding gift photographed like an editorial
Bridal boudoir is the studio's most-booked session and the most common reason brides search for a boudoir photographer in the months before a wedding. The album is designed to be handed to your partner the morning of the wedding or at the rehearsal dinner. Brides across Dallas, Frisco, Plano, and the DFW area book at the McKinney studio; Los Angeles and Orange County brides book the mobile studio.
Most brides book six to eight weeks before the wedding so the handcrafted album arrives in time. Hair and makeup are available and styled to your bridal look, and the session can double as a hair and makeup trial. Wardrobe leans bridal: white lace, a veil, a borrowed shirt, the garter. The result is a wedding gift that is genuinely yours, not a generic boudoir cliche.

Questions
About the bridal format.
- Can my partner know about the session?
- Up to you. Many brides keep it a complete surprise. Others tell their partner about the session but keep the images sealed until the reveal. Both work.
- What if my wedding is less than six weeks away?
- Inquire anyway. We have rush production available for tight timelines and can often turn an album in four weeks. Some weeks have more flexibility than others.
- Do you photograph same-sex couples and non-traditional weddings?
- Yes, for both bridal and couples boudoir formats. The studio's bridal work has included same-sex couples, second marriages, and elopement gifts.
