Couples session
Couples Boudoir.
Two people, one studio, the kind of portraits you do not put on Instagram.
Couples boudoir is an intimate session for partners who want to document the chemistry between them. Directed posing, low-light setups, full discretion. Most couples book around an anniversary, an elopement, or a milestone year.

Couples boudoir is a quieter session than the solo work. The studio fills with two people who know each other, and the photography is built around the way they actually relate to each other rather than poses imposed on them. Direction still drives every frame, but the chemistry you bring is what the images record.
Most couples book around an anniversary or a milestone year. The second-largest source of bookings is after an elopement or destination wedding, when couples want to capture a private body of work alongside their public wedding photography. A smaller share are long-married couples revisiting the studio every few years to add to a private archive.
Wardrobe is more varied than solo sessions. Many couples photograph in a combination of formal evening wear, layered lingerie and pajamas, and skin. The studio collection includes pieces for both partners. We send a coordinated wardrobe guide after booking.
Discretion is the default. Most couples boudoir work is never shown publicly without a release. The album lives at home, often kept in a private space rather than displayed in shared rooms.

What to expect
The session, in order.
Two-and-a-half to three hours of photography
Plus hair and makeup for one or both partners if requested.
Coordinated wardrobe
We help plan looks that work together visually: matching tones, complementary fabrics, layering that reads as a single visual unit.
Direction calibrated to your dynamic
Some couples need a lot of structure. Others want minimal direction and to be left in their own rhythm. We read the room and adjust.
Private reveal for two
Your reveal appointment is scheduled for both of you. The order is decided together.
Good to know
Things worth knowing before you book.
Nerves are normal for one or both partners
Often one partner is more enthusiastic about the session than the other. We work with both of you. By the second setup most couples relax into it.
Same-sex couples welcome
A meaningful portion of our couples work is same-sex couples. The studio's direction and posing approach is the same regardless of pairing.
Skin level is yours to set
Couples sessions range from formal-wear and held hands through to nude. Most sit somewhere in the middle. We discuss the comfort range in pre-session communication.
Couples boudoir photography for partners
Couples boudoir is an intimate, editorial session for two. It is booked for anniversaries, for the months before a wedding, or simply by partners who want a set of portraits that are tasteful, directed, and entirely private. Photographed at the McKinney studio for Dallas and DFW couples, and on location across Los Angeles and Orange County.
The direction matters even more with two people in the frame: where to place hands, how to lean, where to look. The session is paced so both partners settle in quickly, and the studio stays locked and private throughout. The work is intimate without being explicit, the kind of portraits couples keep for themselves rather than post.

Questions
About the couples format.
- What if one partner is much more nervous than the other?
- This is the most common dynamic. We pace the session for the more nervous partner. Direction is paced to ease them in. Most clients find the nervous partner is the one who ends up enjoying the reveal most.
- Can we book one partner for solo work plus a couples session?
- Yes. This is a common booking, especially for anniversaries. We schedule the solo session first and add a couples set to the same day or a separate visit.
- Where do the images live after delivery?
- Couples albums are designed for private spaces: bedside, closet, or in a custom presentation box. They are not designed for coffee tables.
