Mobile studio in the Hollywood Hills
Hollywood Hills Boudoir Photographer.
Hollywood Hills sessions are scheduled at private residences across the hillside neighborhoods, with light and architecture dictating the wardrobe and aesthetic direction. Sessions here are typically more involved in pre-production than the studio's average booking.

Hills clients arrive with strong visual references, often tied to specific photographers, painters, or films. Fine art boudoir and editorial classic work make up the bulk of the studio's bookings from this neighborhood.
Hollywood Hills clients book us when our direction style matches the reference work they are bringing in. Many are working in production, design, or art-adjacent roles, and arrive with mood boards or specific images they want translated into their body and their home. The pre-session call is longer than usual for these clients.
Fine art boudoir leads, with editorial classic close behind. Most Hills sessions are commissioned around specific outcomes: a single wall piece, an album with a defined aesthetic direction, a body of work for a specific room. Generalized portrait sessions are less common from this market.

Hollywood Hills questions
From Hollywood Hills clients.
- Can I bring a mood board to the session?
- Yes. We prefer it. The pre-session call is built around translating your references into specific lighting, posing, and wardrobe direction for the day.
- Do you photograph at design-significant residences?
- Yes. We are often booked specifically because of the residence in question, with the session built around the home's architecture and natural light.
- What does a Marilyn Lou Boudoir session cost in Hollywood Hills?
- Session fees start at $399 for studio sessions and $549 for location sessions. Hair and makeup is available. Products are purchased separately. Most Hollywood Hills clients invest between $1,000 and $2,000 total.
- How long is the session for Hollywood Hills clients?
- Plan on four to five hours start to finish: 60 to 90 minutes of professional hair and makeup, then two to three hours of directed photography across multiple wardrobe changes and setups.
- What if I have never done a boudoir session before?
- Most clients have not. The studio is designed around the assumption you do not know how to pose, what to wear, or what to do with your hands. Every part of the session is directed.
