Glamour session

Glamour.

Old Hollywood lighting. Modern direction.

Glamour sits between boudoir and editorial portraiture. Less skin, more wardrobe, with the same lighting and direction style as the rest of the studio's work. A great option for clients who want the experience and the imagery without the lingerie format.

Glamour is the studio's portrait format. Same direction, same lighting craft, same all-female team as a boudoir session, with wardrobe shifted toward gowns, suiting, statement pieces, and modern editorial looks. The format is built for clients who want portrait work with depth but do not want the lingerie format.

Most glamour bookings fall into two categories: personal branding for entrepreneurs and executives who want portrait work that does not look like a corporate headshot, and milestone birthday portraits (40, 50, 60) for women who want a record of this version of themselves but not a traditional family-photo session.

The lighting and posing direction is identical to classic boudoir. The difference is wardrobe and intent. Glamour sessions often deliver in larger print formats because the work translates well to wall art in offices, dressing rooms, and primary bedrooms.

We can also shoot glamour as a paired format with classic or fine art boudoir. Many returning clients book a glamour session every two to three years as part of their personal documentary archive.

Glamour photography with Old Hollywood lighting

Glamour is the same editorial direction with the wardrobe shifted to gowns, formalwear, and statement pieces. Think Old Hollywood: sculpted light, deep shadow, jewelry and gloves. It is booked by clients who want a polished, dressed portrait rather than lingerie, and it photographs beautifully for milestone birthdays and anniversaries. Available in Dallas and the DFW area at the McKinney studio, and across Los Angeles and Orange County.

A glamour session leans into drama: a lit vanity, a satin gown, a single hard light. The direction is identical to the studio's boudoir work, so the images carry the same intention and polish. If you have searched for glamour or editorial portrait photography rather than boudoir specifically, this is the format for you.

Questions

About the glamour format.

Is this just a fancy headshot session?
No. The intent is portrait work with the same editorial depth as the boudoir sessions. Most clients leave with a body of work, not a single shot for LinkedIn.
Can I license images for business use?
Yes. Commercial licensing for personal-brand use is straightforward and quoted at the time of order. The standard package covers personal use only.
Do you offer glamour for men?
Yes. The studio occasionally photographs men in this format, typically as part of a paired couples or family commission. Solo male sessions are quoted individually.
